Forms that allow respondents to upload files are the best. They allow you to collect cover letters, resumes, competition entries, scanned documents, and other cool files. But where do those files go? Wouldn’t it be great if they all landed straight into your Dropbox account where you keep all your other stuff?

Yes, yes it would be great. That’s why 123 Form Builder created our Dropbox Forms Builder. It allows you to send all your form upload straight to your Dropbox account as easy as 1..2..3 (it’s literally like 2 clicks and a form to fill out).

Yep, that’s right. We’ll just wait here while you process just how awesome that is.

How does the Dropbox integration work?

how to create an upload form with dropbox integration

It’s really simple. You just need two things.

  • A Dropbox account with free space
  • A 123 Form Builder account

Once you have those, you’ll need to build a form with your 123 Form Builder account, which is the easiest thing since breathing.

  1. Sign into your account.
  2. Click New Form
  3. Add all the fields and questions you need. In our example we chose a job application form – perfect for collecting all those resumes from amazingly qualified candidates wanting to work for you and your amazing company.
  4. Make sure to include a File Upload field.
  5. If you need to, you can limit the size of files that respondents can upload. Read more about that here.
  6. Now, go to the Apps menu that’s listed on the left sidebar.
  7. Select Dropbox
  8. Connect your Dropbox account by putting in your details.
  9. Publish your Form.
  10. Congratulate yourself for doing something amazing. Wonder if you’d make president one day.

Who else is using 123 Form Builder?

All these amazing people (and more, like, 3 million more)

The first thing I would say is that it’s very easy to use. I’m an IT person and understand the usage of most tools but usually look for ways to simplify my work. Customization work was one of the things that DC Fire was looking for and the development team from 123FormBuilder managed to achieve that by communicating constantly and efficiently.

Jyoti Agrawal Project Manager @DC Fire

We had more than 100,000 form submissions in a day last Christmas when we ran The Late Late Show, and the builder survived successfully through what may be one of the biggest events RTE plans every year.

Neil Leyden Head @RTE.ie

Our website stayed up. The form stayed up. And everything worked. It was absolutely dreamy. It was really successful from our point of view, it was an incredibly successful project and I have no trouble saying the 123FormBuilder team played out of their skin on it. They were very proactive about keeping this right, making it happen.
