You can add video, audio and PDF files directly onto your form quickly and easily.
By using the Widget field, you can have interactive elements on your form, such as playable audio/video files or scrollable, zoomable and printable PDFs. By doing so, you can provide all of the relevant information on the form by simply adding a link to an outside source. This means there is no need to go through the hassle of creating an embed code.
Here is a complete guide on how to embed files:
Step One – Adding the Widget
The Widget field is located under the Other Fields section of your editor.
Step Two – Choosing the right Widget for you
Once the Widget is added, you will be able to choose the platform that best suits your form’s needs.
After selecting the app to be embedded, the next step is to provide the URL of the file that will show up on the form.
This step is generally valid for any app you choose. The only difference is from where you will need to retrieve the URL for the file.
Step Three – Retrieving the URL
You can find the URL for any YouTube video in the Share -> Embed section. The highlighted URL is all that you would need in order to add the video on your form.
The URL needed for a Vimeo video is located under the Share -> Embed option. Copy and paste the URL from that code in the Widget field.
In the case of a PDF file, you will need to provide the URL of where that file is hosted. However, the PDF file that will be embedded, must be hosted on a secure URL, marked with https://.
To retrieve the URL for a Soundcloud audio file you will need to go to the Share -> Embed section and check the WordPress code option. It is necessary to remove the any code besides from the URL in between the brackets.
In order to embed a Facebook page, you simply need to copy/paste the URL of the Facebook page.
While for a specific post you will need to get the URL form the Embed this Post section.
To add a TED URL onto your form you will need to go to the Embed option and select the URL provided in between the brackets of the code.
The URL that is needed, in this case, is located in the Embed section under the video.
To embed the video or the widget for a Kickstarter campaign you will need to copy one of the two URL’s, depending which element you want embedded on your form. You can find the URL’s in the Share -> Embed section.
You can find the URL needed under Share -> Get Embed Code. You will need to copy just the URL from within the iframe code, as shown below.
To embed a WordPress TV video on your form, you simply copy the URL from within the embed code, after selecting the Share button of the video.
You can find the necessary URL by clicking Share on the bottom right part of the video. Afterwards, copy the link from the Embed Code section.
In Mixcloud, first click on the Share button, then go to the Embed section. Simply select the type of widget that you want to use from Mixcloud and below it, from the iframe code, copy the URL.
