Digital Marketing Intern


Role
As the Digital marketing intern, you will play an integral part of a newly formed team tasked with improving Snyder Industries websites, marketing strategies, and overall digital footprint. Help to improve our websites and their functionality as sales and marketing tools through the creating and implementation of compelling informative content. Enhance and improve our use of digital marketing methods to drive increased traffic and awareness in Snyder's brands. Work in creative, administrative, and technical capacities learning along the way and gaining valuable experience as part of a cross-functional deadline-driven team.

Essential Duties
- Work with the digital marketing team to achieve weekly goals and meet project deadlines.
- Generate compelling website content which incorporates effective SEO keywords.

- Conduct competitive site analyses to inform strategic business decisions.
- Monitor social media content and performance.
- Generate social media content consistent with the organization's values and goals.
- Perform other duties as necessary.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Interested in digital marketing (social media, SEO, SEM, etc.)
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
- Highly proficient with Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically Photoshop and InDesign.
- Willing to take direction from a cross-functional team.
- Willing to work independently on crucial deadline-driven project tasks.
- Willing to provide creative thoughts, insights, and feedback during project meetings.
- Able to multitask and shift priorities as the project schedule demands.
- Must be organized with great attention to detail.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Comfortable communicating with all levels of company personnel as well as external vendors.
- Able to think strategically and independently problem solve.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Able to work with confidential information.
- Prior marketing experience is a plus, but not necessary.

Education
- Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor or Master's degree program in Marketing, Advertising, or Business.
- If a Bachelor's student, Junior/Senior preferred.
- Preferably has taken or is enrolled in MRKT 441/841 (Digital Marketing & Electronic Commerce).

Authority
This position reports to the Vice President of IT, but also can be given direction from a project lead.
