Quality Technician
The responsibilities of the quality technician will include maintaining quality requirements and standards for development and manufacturing products. Serve as the primary ISO/Quality resource to department supervisors for problem identification also in addition to implementing methods for process control, process improvement, testing, and inspections.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Promote and execute quality standards, inspection processes, test methodology, quality plans, documents, and reports.
- Assist in process certification.
- Function as ISO Management Representative during Registrar Accreditation audit.
- Manage the ISO Review program to include the overseeing of the CPAR and Management Action plans.
- Oversee the timely and effective calibration of all inspection and test equipment.
- Determine corrective and preventive measures to improve on-time delivery, customer returns, and scrap reduction.
- Report to management on quality issues, trends, and losses.
- Interface with production employees to identify and resolve quality issues.
- Lead internal and external quality audits.
- Interface with supplier and customer quality representatives concerning problems with ISO/Quality issues and assure that effective corrective action is implemented.
- Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.

Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

- Associate degree with 1-year experience in a quality environment.
- Knowledge of quality systems requirements.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements.
- Working knowledge of computers including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases. Ability to communicate effectively, make presentations and write concise reports for all levels of employees.
- Occasionally required to lift up to 55 lbs.
- Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach and move about the facility.

Supervisory Responsibilities

No direct supervisory responsibilities, but may manage projects and activities to the ISO/Quality system. This position reports directly to the Quality Manager with indirect reporting to the Plant Manager of the Bensenville facility.
