Description:

This is a regular, full-time, exempt position with Norwesco Inc.
Located in Lancaster, OH
$75,000 – $85,000 Annual Salary
Comprehensive benefits package
Performance Incentive Plan, 10% bonus potential
Monday – Friday (weekends possible during our busy season)

Responsibilities:

Manage and direct the production, maintenance, shipping and administrative functions required at the plant level (8-15 employees).
Provide direction, development and leadership to the shift supervisors.
Maintain Norwesco’s operational hierarchy: Safety, Quality, and Productivity.
Develop and maintain a communication system to exchange information, enhance understanding and provide feedback between all plant operations and shifts.
Maintain a high visual profile within plant operations and maintenance.
Typically divides time equally between plant and office responsibilities.
Assist corporate management with implementing a training and development program at the plant level.
Ensure company policies are adhered to through enforcement and accountability.
Hiring, lay-offs and terminations of production, maintenance, shipping and administrative employees.
Oversee all injury, property damage and near-miss incident investigations.
Develop and maintain a system to manage the plant’s raw materials, components and product inventories.
Interact and work with all functions of the corporate structure to ensure continued profitability of the company.
Monitor plant security and ensure practices are in place to protect company assets.
Become proficient at plant positions to aid during time of illness, vacation, etc.

Qualifications:

Five years of plastics manufacturing experience, rotational molding preferred.
Ten years of experience managing employees.
Demonstrated leadership abilities, mental maturity and temperamental ability to maintain sound employee relations.
Strong communication and problem solving skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and delegate responsibilities to appropriate resources.
Understanding of mechanical equipment, operation and maintenance.
